A Method for the Definition of Metrics over i* Models
نویسنده
چکیده
The i* framework has been widely adopted by the information systems community for goaland agent-oriented modeling and analysis. One of its potential benefits is the assessment of the properties of the modeled sociotechnical system. In this respect, the definition and evaluation of metrics may play a fundamental role. We are interested in porting to the i* framework metrics that have been already defined and validated in other domains. After some experimentation with i* metrics in this context, the complexity inherent to their definition has driven us to build a method for defining them. In this paper, we present the resulting method, iMDFM, which is structured into 4 steps: domain analysis, domain metrics analysis, metrics formulation and framework update. We apply our approach to an existing suite of metrics for measuring business processes performance and drive some observations from this experiment.

Definition of General Operator Space and The s-gap Metric for Measuring Robust Stability of Control Systems with Nonlinear Dynamics
In the recent decades, metrics have been introduced as mathematical tools to determine the robust stability of the closed loop control systems. However, the metrics drawback is their limited applications in the closed loop control systems with nonlinear dynamics. As a solution in the literature, applying the metric theories to the linearized models is suggested. In this paper, we show that usin...

متن کاملA Metrics Definition Framework for i*
Measuring is a central task in the any engineering discipline, and modelling is not an exception. The need for measuring properties over i* models arises in different contexts. We have analysed this need over i* models of organizations, projects, systems and architectures. As a result, we have proposed a framework which includes: (a) a metamodel of i* that defines the elements that build the mo...
متن کاملReviewing the harvest index estimation in crop modeling
H Harvest index (HI), ratio of seed yield to aboveground dry matter, is a very important parameter for estimating seed yield in several crop models. In this study, the importance, definition, variability and estimation methods of HI in crop models were discussed. HI estimation methods are categorized into two groups including: (i) complex methods that estimate HI from the beginning of seed gro...
